Kenai Fjords

What makes it unique

A tidewater glacier park where almost everything worth seeing is reached by boat from Seward, so swell and fog decide the day more than season does.

Access

Most of the park is boat-access only and tours cancel in swell. Exit Glacier Road closes to vehicles in winter. Seward fills completely during the July salmon derby.

Avoid

October through April the boat tours stop and only Exit Glacier is reachable, by ski or snowmachine.
